About the Artist

A ceramist, an sculptor and a painter, Cléa Borges Espíndola, born in São José and currently residing in Florianópolis started her career in fine arts in 1980 attending the ceramics workshop of Luiz Carlos Canabarro Machado at UDESC ( University for the Development of Santa Catarina).

In addition Clea as attended innumerous workshops and courses as listed below:

Clea has work that is part of the permanent collection of the MASC ( Santa Catarina Art Museum).
Participated in the production of the ceramic mural "Companheiros em Realização” at the Social Economic Center( Centro Sócio Econômico) UFSC ( Santa Catarina's Federal University)
Participated in the production of “Grande escultura” (Big Sculpture) at UFSC.
Panel“Renascer” (Rebirth) together with three other artists, Ribeirão da Ilha, Florianópolis, SC.
